  • 2019.11.05 We will organize the PredictGIS 2019 workshop in ACM SIGSPATIAL 2019, in Chicago, IL. Here is the program!

  • 2019.11.06 Our paper "City2City: Translating Place Representations Across Cities" was accepted as a poster paper in ACM SIGSPATIAL 2019. I also received the Student Travel Award for the conference.

  • 2019.11.01 Our paper "Mobile phone data reveals the importance of pre-disaster inter-city social ties for recovery after Hurricane Maria" is now published in Applied Network Science

  • 2019.08.7 I gave a poster presentation in ACM KDD 2019 in Anchorage, Alaska. 

  • 2019.07.17 I gave a presentation in the plenary session at Natural Hazards Workshop in Boulder, CO. 

  • 2019.07.10 We received 2nd prize in the poster competition at Netmob 2019

  • 2019.04.28 Our paper "Predicting Evacuation Decisions using Representations of Individuals' Pre-Disaster Web Search Behavior" was accepted at ACM KDD 2019 .

  1. Modeling the population recovery dynamics of cities after disasters using big mobility data and network theory.  

  2. Developing machine learning models to predict user behavior after disasters using heterogeneous data. 

  3. Developing practical tools and methods for disaster relief.
